Dublin Airport - Pier 3 Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB)
The Project:
Pier 3 PBB Weathering and Painting is an asset upgrade project at Dublin Airport.
Forming part of Dublin Airport’s vision and objectives the key aims of this project are to;
- Improve airline facilities
- Extend asset life
- Improve asset performance
Project Details:
The project consisted of carrying out repairs to 6 No. airbridge tunnels, roof and rotundas on the Pier 3 Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) and upgrading the external finish to 7 No. Bridges including PBB No. 2. The job also included remedial repairs and painting to 7 Number Fixed Links connecting Pier 3 to the Rotunda of Each Passenger Boarding Bridge.

Paint System:
JUNO supplied it’s C4-HIGH Certified Protective Paint System – especially tailored for Airport use. The system consists of surface preparation, application of epoxy primer and durable PU finish coat to a minimum dry film thickness of 200 microns.
