Poxemyc UV 2/C

Two-component aliphatic acrylic polyurethane enamel with exceptional weather resistance.
Formulated based on hydroxylated acrylic resins and a polyfunctional aliphatic isocyanate hardener, giving tough hard surface finish, providing excellent gloss and color retention.

Recommended for the protection of all kinds of ferrous surfaces: steel, iron (previously primed), galvanized and aluminum (previously treated), non-ferrous concrete, wood, polyester with fiberglass, PVC, where high chemical resistance and maximum weather protection is required. Ideal for painting wagons, tanks, warehouses, machinery, ships, industrial buildings that are going to be subjected to aggressive atmospheres.

NEW METAL SURFACES.
The surfaces must be free from grease, rust and calamine.
Apply a coat of DYNAPOK ZINC PHOSPHATE 2/C PRIMER, Prod.Codee 22722, and finish with two coats of POXEMYC,
OLD METALLIC SURFACES.
If the already painted surfaces are not in good condition, remove the remains of poorly adhered paint and proceed with process as with new surface.
ALUMINUM AND GALVANIZED.
Eliminate the rust typical of galvanizing by washing with detergents, fresh water and abrasive synthetic fibres. If necessary, sand to refine the surface.
If greater protection is needed, apply a coat of Dynapok 2/C primer (Prod.Code 22.722).
CONCRETE SURFACES
Wait until fully set (min 1 month). The surface must be completely dry. The humidity of the substrate must not exceed 4%, measured at a depth of 2 cm. The surface must be firm and free of dust, laitance or grease and poorly adhered parts. Minimum tensile strength 15 kg/cm².
Remove grease and rubber stains with thinners or detergents, then rinse off the detergent with water. Use shot blasting and milling if stains do not disappear.
Laitance and curative agents must be removed by shot blasting and milling, subsequently vacuuming the resulting dust, to obtain a rough surface free from foreign materials.
The surface to be painted must have sufficient roughness to ensure adherence. It is advisable to carry out a preliminary test patch on a sufficiently representative area (1m²) to ensure compatibility.
Apply on consistent, clean surfaces, free from efflorescence (saltpetre) and mould.
Stir component A in its container and once homogenized add component B slowly (in the indicated proportions) while mechanically stirring at low speed. Shake for 2 minutes until perfectly homogenized. If necessary, change the tub and stir, to guarantee a mixture that is as homogeneous as possible. Let the mixture rest for 15 min to allow air out. Do not use the product after 4 hours (max. potlife) of mixing, depending on environmental conditions.
